MAHILA Featured Ingredients:- Bergamot, Sweet Orange, Rose Damascena, Lavender, Jasmine Grandiflorum. Jasmine Sambac, Ylang Ylang, Cardamom, Patchouli, Clove, Cinnamon leaf, Atlas, Himalayan & Virginian Cedar-woods, Indian and African sandalwoods.

The original batch of महिला Mahila (Hindi word for woman) was first made around 2013 and was composed as a tribute to all the things I have ever been inspired by from Indian culture. I was conceived in Kolkatta in 1961 and born in Australia in 1962, so there is a part of me that always considers this human body that I live inside to be “made in India”.

Later on, a beautiful and incredibly talented woman, (a friend and creative collaborator for many years) claimed Mahila perfume as her signature scent. I gifted her a very big flask of it so she would never go without. Tragically she passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly, earlier this year, and quite a large portion of the light in the world went away.

I dedicate this new brew to her memory, a reminder of her incredible talent as singer, powerful woman and amazing human being.
