In 2006, we lived in a tiny village set amongst 28,000 hectares of national park rainforest in the D’Aguilar mountain ranges north west of Brisbane. Enthralled with the magnificent beauty of the forest, I wrote and performed a one-woman comedy/satire as protest to many deeply troubling aspects of the geo-political landscape of the time. I was inspired by the activist work of Dame Anita Roddick (The Body Shop founder), and motivated to express my own concerns about where the rise of neo-liberal fascism appeared to be heading. As companion to the show, Steve and I produced a CD of the same name. Here’s the title track from the CD – LA SELVA SAGRADA. All monies raised from the show and CD sales were donated to the World Wildlife Fund and The Wilderness Society.

This brand new fragrance is a scented libation of love, an ode to all sacred jungles; the magnificent fallen jungles of the past, the stoic survivors under siege in the present time, and, (with a miraculous shift in our collective thinking and actions), the glorious earth gardens of the future.

Together, may we find peace, love, healing to thrive in harmony with our glorious planet’s abundantly diverse wildlife once more.
